Mike Update

Since breaking his wrist and having surgery Mike is doing well in his new position at GA-6. He is driven, focused and humble in the responsibility he has. He now has 52 people working at the facility. According to him things are going a little better than he had expected. Not to say that there aren’t kinks but that is to be expected in a brand new start-up. He says that this has actually been the smoothest start-up he has done. He gives a lot of credit to the rest of the GA team. Mainly to Chad Sumner and Dave Kittner. He has relied on their years of knowledge and input to help him in the decisions that he has been making. Of course he gives all the credit to God first. He is working hard and we are all so very proud of him and the job he does.
He has been less stressed and a lot more relaxed since we joined him. It was hard on him being up here for months by himself but said it was worth it as he was able to stay at work and focus on that without worrying about us here. He did not want to feel guilty for being so involved in work and feel like he was leaving us out.
Mike says he really loves being able to come home some days and eat lunch with the kids and spending a lot more time with them. As many of you know he use to drive an hour and fifteen minutes each way to work, so not much time spent to do little things with the kids. He now has a 15-minute commute and it has been nice. He is able to come home and eat dinner and still have time to play with them before they go to bed. He has gotten quite good at air hockey and foosball much to Kasey & Conner’s dismay. He is not so good at Rainbow & Showers as Wesley continues to beat him every time they play. Adrianna loves to sing and just get in his lap and cuddle with him. We have continued to eat supper as a family and it has been nice to be able to eat all together and spend the time going over each other’s day and the things that happened. We continue to do best part, worst part, what did you do nice? As always daddy coming home is the best part of everyone’s day.
At home he is a lot more relaxed. He is laughing a lot more and realizing how funny, smart, sweet, kind, and silly the kids are. He is being constantly amazed at the things they say and do.

Pray for Mike to continue to seek God’s will and direction in the decisions that he makes for us as a family. Pray also that he continues to have the strength and courage he needs to stand up and show himself to be a man of God to those around him.
