Kasey is doing great adjusting to the move. She misses her family and her friends so much but she has made new friends here. She talks to her Pawpaw often and that helps some. It is not the same as being able to walk up to his house. She loved the week were back for a visit she got to spend all the time with him. She also went swimming with her cousins June, Augusta, Ryan she loves them and was still mothering them just as she always has. She even got to eat fresh watermelon out of her Pawpaws garden.
Since we have been back she has been riding her big bike (10 speed). She had been scared to try her fear of falling was keeping her from even trying. Her friend Leah got on her bike and Kasey wanting to keep up just decided not to let the fear stop her. We are so proud of her. She loves her room to herself but is very messy saying she has too much to do to keep it clean. She makes the bed everyday but struggles to pick up anything else. She will be going into the 4th grade when school starts. She is excited and nervous about going into a brand new place where she doesn’t know anyone. I told her she knows Conner and Adrianna and they will be at the school with her. I think she will be fine. The school is actually even smaller than Heard Elementary. She is so smart and sweet that we know she will make many friends by the end of the first week.
