Summer Vacation part 1

I know it’s been a while since I last blogged but we have been busy.

The kids have alternated between being at home and staying in Georgia with the grandparents. They took turns rotating out for 1 to 2 weeks depending on what was going on here.

They were able to visit and spend time with their cousins and catch up with them. They had a great time. I have posted most all of the pictures up on Facebook as it is easier to post pictures there than on here.

Some of the things that the kids got to do included: playing in the mud, playing on the dirt pile, feeding chickens, going to Callaway Gardens, going to Noah’s Ark, jumping on the trampoline, riding 4-wheelers, riding bikes, playing with Sushi, Musket, Chloe, playing in the fort, and of course their favorite, going swimming.

While back at home it was a Kindergarten physical for Wesley who now is enrolled and ready for school much to my dismay.

The first month of summer break has gone by fast. We have decided to slow down for the second half of the summer and concentrate on spending more family time together.

We have been to Tallulah Gorge, the Heirloom Tomato Festival, a Bluegrass Festival, and spent time together. We played in a hot tub, swam in a pool, hiked through the Cherokee National Forest, roasted marshmallows, tasted 32 different types of tomatoes, walked around a lake, played games and just talked and laughed enjoying each others company.
