Kasey Update

Kasey is growing up way too fast! She is becoming such a responsible, mature young woman. She still is as sweet, kind, loving and tenderhearted as can be. I am amazed at how sometimes she is the biggest help and so loving and then in the next few minutes turn around and have me walking away to take a time out. I keep hearing it’s a teenage thing and she’s at “that” age. Her mood swings make me crazy. My sister is the same way; she never out grew her mood swings though. She is the moodiest person I have ever met, I am pretty sure she gets that from our grandmother. My mom’s mom not my dad’s as she was the complete opposite. Anyway it can be tense at times. Her having her teenage hormones and I having menopause just keeps me aware of her feelings at all times.

She is excelling at school. She did struggle quite a bit with Science the first semester winding up with a B. This semester though she is “getting it” sailing through with an A average. She also is continuing to do well in her advanced Math and is on track to continue a grade level ahead next year also. It is her favorite subject and she excels in it. She continues to dislike English and History but it is due more to having to read and answer questions a lot more than the content.

She is in the teen department at church and has found some good friends she counts on. She also has several friends at school and is very comfortable at both places slowly coming out of her shyness that she always has had. She still will not step up or speak out but that is not such a bad thing sometimes.

She is a big help with Wesley especially and has way more patience with him than Mike and sometimes he prefers to go to her instead of me. She still continues to try and boss Conner & Adrianna around, and they still do not listen to her especially Adrianna.  

She still continues to be a huge Georgia Bulldog fan, despite my best efforts to convert her to any other team!
