We went to open house at the school on Friday so the kids could meet their teacher’s and see their classrooms. We also were able to see the new additions that they made to the school.
I now have all 4 of my children in the same school!
Kasey now a 5th grader has Mrs. Overcash for her teacher. Mrs. Overcash was as excited as she was to be in her class. Kasey however was a little disappointed that most of her friends from last year are in other classes especially Neil. She will still get to see them at recess and lunchtime.
Conner now a 3rd grader has Mrs. Dittebrand who is also one of Kasey’s cheer leading coaches. He was not so much thrilled at this, but said it wouldn’t matter as his coach (football) had already told them that if their grades drop then they would have to do extra laps on the field. Behavior at school and grades come before football.
Adrianna now a 1st grader has Mrs. Laseter. She really didn’t care who she had. Mrs. Laseter had already heard of Adrianna though and was excited for her to be in her class. Adrianna has 5 of her friends from last year in her class with her. Although her “best” friend Spencer is at a private Baptist School she still has Joey in this class, plus she has already persuaded the teacher to make her line leader for the first week of school.
Wesley now is in Kindergarten. He has wound up with Mrs. Freeman, yes the same teacher that Adrianna had last year. He was very excited because he said, “she already knows me and likes me.” I went ahead and forewarned her that Wesley was nothing like Adrianna. She just laughed; at least she was warned.
The kids will be starting back to school on Tuesday with the exception of Wesley, who starts on Friday.
This will be a very interesting year for me. It is the first time in over 10 years that I will have all day to myself.
nice job next time do not mection Neil!!!!!!
